DERMAL FILLERS
FILLERS
As we age, and experience sun damage, loss of collagen, and gravitational pulling, our skin can lose volume, become sagging, and show structural deterioration. Dermal Fillers are a gel like substance made from hyaluronic acid, which are used to boost volume and viscoelasticity of the skin. These fillers are injected into different facial areas, and are slowly dissolved by your body over time, usually lasting from 12-24 months. Fillers can be used to plump up lips, smooth wrinkles, assist with facial balancing, and add cheek volume. The results can be seen immediately after injection, with little to no down time. Results can be natural and seamless, accentuating natural beauty while minimizing signs of aging.

Dermal Fillers: Enhancing Natural Beauty and Confidence in the Aging Process
As an experienced nurse practitioner in aesthetic medicine, Lindsey's focus is on empowering individuals to embrace the aging process with confidence and enhance their natural beauty. Dermal fillers play a significant role in achieving these goals by restoring volume, revitalizing the skin, and creating a more youthful appearance. Let's delve into some educational information about dermal fillers and their transformative effects.
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable substances composed of hyaluronic acid, collagen, or other biocompatible materials. They are designed to restore volume, smooth out wrinkles and fine lines, and enhance facial contours. Dermal fillers work by replenishing lost volume, promoting hydration, and stimulating collagen production for a rejuvenated and refreshed look.
Natural-Looking Results
One of the primary objectives of using dermal fillers is to achieve natural-looking results. Skilled practitioners take an artistic approach, considering your unique facial anatomy and aesthetic goals. By strategically placing fillers, we can enhance your features while preserving your individuality. The goal is to create subtle enhancements that blend harmoniously with your natural beauty, ensuring that you look like the best version of yourself.
Areas Treated with Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are versatile and can be used to address various areas of concern. They are commonly used to restore volume to the cheeks, smooth nasolabial folds (lines around the nose and mouth), enhance lip volume and shape, fill in hollows under the eyes, and improve the overall skin texture and elasticity. By tailoring the treatment to your specific needs, we can help you achieve a more youthful and revitalized appearance.
The Aging Process and Dermal Fillers
Aging involves the loss of facial volume, changes in skin elasticity, and the appearance of wrinkles and folds. Dermal fillers effectively combat these signs of aging by replenishing lost volume and stimulating collagen production. They restore youthful contours, soften lines and wrinkles, and rejuvenate the skin's appearance. By embracing dermal fillers as part of the aging process, you can enhance your natural beauty and feel confident at every stage of life.

While the duration of results varies depending on the type of filler used and individual factors, they typically last from six months to over a year. Regular maintenance appointments are recommended to sustain the desired results and adapt the treatment plan as needed.
