DERMAL FILLERS

FILLERS

As we age, and experience sun damage, loss of collagen, and gravitational pulling, our skin can lose volume, become sagging, and show structural deterioration. Dermal Fillers are a gel like substance made from hyaluronic acid, which are used to boost volume and viscoelasticity of the skin. These fillers are injected into different facial areas, and are slowly dissolved by your body over time, usually lasting from 12-24 months. Fillers can be used to plump up lips, smooth wrinkles, assist with facial balancing, and add cheek volume. The results can be seen immediately after injection, with little to no down time. Results can be natural and seamless, accentuating natural beauty while minimizing signs of aging.

Areas That Can Be Injected

-Lips

-Naslabial folds

-Tear trough (undereyes)

-Deep lines/wrinkles

-Cheeks

After Filler Injection:

DO NOT touch, press, rub, or manipulate the treated area for 6 hours post treatment. Avoid

direct pressure for next 3 days (example, face down in a massage bed).

Avoid alcohol 24 hours after injection.

You can gently wash face the night of your treatment (no scrubbing or rubbing) and

you can resume normal routines the following day. Do not rub or press on the treated area.

Avoid extensive sun exposure and overheating for the next 24-48 hours.

If there is a visible bump, you can massage the area. Depending on the areas treated and the product used, you may feel “firmness.” These areas will soften and settle with time (usually 1-2 weeks).

Small lumps, mild tenderness, bruising, and swelling are normal and generally disappears within a few hours to a few days. If these symptoms last more than 3 days, please contact our office.
